Excel's DOLLAR function converts any number to text using the currency format.
If cell A1 contains 123,
=DOLLAR(A1)
will return £123.00 (as text, not as a number).
The default number of decimal places is 2, but the number of decimal places can be modified by adding a comma and a number after the cell reference.
In the above example,
=DOLLAR(A1,5)
Would return £123.00000
