I chose this week`s tip after I received a question last week. It involves one of Excel`s Text functions and it has so many uses that to be frank (and if I want to be Frank, then no-one has the right to stop me), it scares me.

Does the sheer scale and majesty of software ever send a shiver down your spine? Do you ever find that software seems to be just too well put together to have been created without some input from the "dark forces?"
