Talk to most users about numbering lists and you can see them start to twitch. Scientists have argued for many years as to why this might be and have split into two fairly equal camps:
1) It could be because the concept of numbering itself raises deep primeval fears, passed down through our ancestors, of the magical power numbers were once believed to have.
2) It could be because it raises deep primeval fears, recurring through our nightmares, of times when, no matter what you tried, Word`s numbering feature just wouldn`t do what you wanted.
