August 8, 2008, Newsletter Issue #268: Modifying AutoFormat in Excel

Tip of the Week

While some of the formats provided with AutoFormat in Excel are useful, they might not be quite what you need. A good example of this is where you want to apply all of the formatting, but leave the font as it is.

To modify this, click on Options from the autoformat dialog box (Format, AutoFormat) and deselect the font option. Any of the other aspects of AutoFormat can be selected and deselected in this manner.
