It can consist of any combination of character and paragraph formats and allows you to apply that formatting in one simple step.

You can see Word&amp;#8217;s built in styles by clicking on the drop down arrow on the Style Box (it probably says Normal at the moment) - you will see a short list of available styles.

Other tips within this section will show you how to create your own styles and modify existing ones.
