How can I preview the animation on a slide

Preview your animation using the slide miniature in PowerPoint

If you need to preview the animation effects you've applied to a slide in PowerPoint, make sure the slide miniature is showing (View, Slide Miniature) and either click it with the left mouse button or right click it and choose Animation Preview.
