May 31, 2002, Newsletter Issue #87: Software shortcuts - Internet Explorer

Tip of the Week

If you don`t want to start at the same page, then it can be frustrating and timewasting to have IE start loading your homepage, then you choose the page you really want (even if you interrupt IE, it can still take a while).

This week`s tip allows you to open IE with the page you want, in a single step....

Save time when opening IE by adding the Address Toolbar to your Windows TaskBar (you must have Active Desktop running for this to work).

Right click the TaskBar and select Address from the toolbars menu. You will now see a text box where you can either type the address you want or select from a list by clicking the drop down arrow on the right hand side of the box.
