December 20, 2002, Newsletter Issue #114: Software Shortcuts - Microsoft Word

Tip of the Week

Automatically go to the last place you`ve worked.
I should point out that this tip refers to the last place in a document you`ve worked, rather than the last physical location you worked in. I`m not supposed to talk about the teleportation shortcuts in Word 2002 for another six months (or was that ever? Sorry, Bill)

Anyway, when you open a document, it can be frustrating (or even annoying if it`s a long document) to have to scroll your way down page after page, just to get down to the last place you were working.

If you hold down the Shift key and press the F5 key, you will be taken automatically to the last place you worked.
