Tip of the Week

Picture the scene.

You are at your computer, merrily reading your new emails. It`s easy to see which ones are new, because they`re bold. Life, in short, is good and your purpose is clear.

You open an email and begin to read. It`s interesting. It`s good. Most of all, it`s important and you have to follow it up. You decided that as soon as you`ve finished reading your emails, then you`ll follow it up in person.

You get to the last email and something happens. If you`re at work, it could be the phone, your boss, or something even more annoying interrupting you. If you`re at home, then it could be the doorbell, the family, but whatever it is, you are distracted.

You go off and do whatever the distraction requires you to do and the next time you open up your computer, what do you see? A whole load of new emails and a whole load of old emails. You know you need to follow up something, but it could be anywhere.

If only you`d followed this week`s tip before you got distracted...
